Hi Everyone!
Today I have a review not on a skincare product, but on a makeup product, Banila Co’s White Wedding CC Cushion! This is a cc cushion I had been wanting to get my hands on ever since it launched, not because of the product claims, but literally because the packaging was so beautiful. So let’s hope right into it!
Product Claims
The Banila Co White Wedding CC Cushion claims to:
- Whitening
- Skincare
- Color Correcting
- Brings Vitality to the skin
- Illuminating
- Skin Plumping
- Dewy Finish
Sounds like the perfect cushion for those with dry and dull looking skin ๐
Packaging
First off, I love the packaging for this product, there literally are no flaws with the design that I can find. It is sturdy, closes and opens easily, remains closed with a tight seal. My favorite thing about this cushion design like the other banila co designs, it how to cushion isn’t actually a cushion sponge. Instead it is more like a pump, where you press down on the plastic surface to release product from the holes. For me, I prefer this as it is more sanitary then other cushion products.
The sponge applicator it comes with is also very nice and has a high end feeling in comparison to other Korean road shop brands such as etude house. This cushion puff it very smooth and thick. Making it spread product very nicely without absorbing too much of the actually product.
Color & Texture
For me, my mac shade is about an NC25 and my Korean shade almost always is #23. In Banila Co, my Color is the darkest at #20. The color of this cushion is more of a neutral rather then a yellow base and there are some pink undertones along with the yellow base. For me, this color blends perfectly into my natural skin tone.
The texture is lovely and suitable for what you think a CC Cushion would provide. It has a light yet moisturizing feeling. It feels very light weight on the skin while creating a very moisturized, hydrated and dewy looking finish. Literally, it looks like my normal face *with skincare on* only with a lovely naturally perfect finish.
Coverage
Now because this is a CC Cushion, the coverage of this cushion isn’t very high. I would label the coverage to be about a light to buildable medium. Making the Banila Co White Wedding CC Cushion not ideal for those who have dark pigmentation or dark acne scars. If you are someone who likes a product with medium to high coverage, this most certainly is not the product for you. However for those who enjoy a natural coverage, just enough to even out the skin tone, then this is perfect for you ๐
Effect on Skin
This cc cushion was what I expected it to be, minimal coverage and not long lasting. Because it is more of a skin tone evening skincare product, this cc cushion does not last over 4 hours without touching up. If you want it to last all day, it will require a generous amount of setting powder, which of course will remove that lovely dewy look for a matte look. Making this cushion ideal for for short outings unless you are okay with touching up after 4 hours. Personally, I am not someone who likes to touch up because I feel like adding more product onto not freshly cleaned skin is not hygienic and causes break outs.
After using this product on my skin for a few days in a row, I did develop small irritation break outs. However they were very minimal and not very detectable. So this product can be irritating for some with sensitive and acne prone skin.
Overall
The Banila Co White Wedding CC Cushion is most ideal for those with Normal to Dry skin types. It is not ideal for those with oily skin or those who are sensitive and prone to acne as it might lead to break outs. It is not suitable for long wear but is only good for short outings unless you are okay with touching up during the day.
Where to Buy?
I got my Banila Co White Wedding CC Cushion from the Banila Co store in Gangnam Station. However you can purchase bellow on Amazon from Banila Co.

November 8, 2015 at 6:08 pmYou had me right at the packaging for this! It’s too bad that it’s not that long lasting which I find odd sometimes in Asian foundation-type products seeing as how the weather can be so hot and humid! The coverage does look decent without looking remotely heavy. Your skin still looks like skin!
