Hi loves!
Today I will be sharing my personal thoughts and experience with the Skinmiso Pore Corset Serum.
This serum is designed for those with large pores and oily skin. Its main functions are to reduce the production of excess oil while providing a intense tightening effect, thus making the pores appear smaller.

Claims
The product claims to:
- Tightens large pores by 34%
- Pores visibly smaller in 20 minutes
- Reduce oil production
- Hydrates the skin
For myself, the main effect I am curious to see is how well it actually tightens and minimizes the appearance of large pores in 20 minutes. Personally I have never been a fan of using primers as they always break me out, so finding a product to give a pore minimizing effect that isn’t a primer is extremely exciting for me. But first, lets talk about the product itself.
Packaging
The Skinmiso Pore Corset Serum comes in a classic serum type glass bottle with a small eye-dropper applicator. The dropper, is much smaller then the average serum’s at about half the length.
For myself, I really like the design and style of this packaging as it has a very clean look to it. However the one feature I don’t like much is how the bottle is not transparent. Making it hard to know when your running low on product. This however isn’t a design flaw in any way.
Texture
The serum has a classic serum type texture which is a thick liquid similar to that of syrup, just without the stickiness. The serum turns into a watery texture once smoothed over the skin, it absorbs and spreads evenly and instantly has a refreshing cooling effect that reminds me of mint or tea tree oil. For me, the lovely soothing cooling effect lasted on my skin for 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, there was no visible residue on my skin, no shine and no sticky texture. It also was not all all drying which was very nice.

Effect
I waited 20 minutes before applying any additional products from my skincare routine. I applied toner before, then I applied the Skinmiso Pore Corset Serum and waited 20 minutes to see the full results. As you can see from the before and after photos bellow, there is a small but indeed visible result. My pores did appear smaller and much less enlarged. In my opinion, it does not work as well as a primer, however primers only “mask” pores and doesn’t actually tighten them. Which is a huge difference in product performance. And #1 for me, this serum did not cause my skin any irritation or breakouts! Which is a huge bonus.
Overall
I highly recommend the Skinmiso Pore Corset Serum if you are looking for something to use all day instead of a primer. Primers can be clogging and cause acne. This serum is an excellent alternative as it shrinks pores and, reduces oil and overall keeps your pores fresh and healthy. It certainly is suitable for sensitive skin and works well with dry and combination skin types as well as oily skin types. Definitely a must have skincare item for those with large pore concerns and issues. However don’t expect dramatic results because lets be logical, you can not get rid of your pores ๐

June 16, 2016 at 3:50 pmthis review (and especially the photos) is really helpful – but i am very curious about how long the tightened effects lasts, and i would love to see some photos of your pores after several hours. i’m also very curious about how this would compare to just plain witch hazel, which it looks like is one of the main ingredients that isn’t a copolymer type filler. it would be amazing if you did a comparison! thank you so much for this review.

June 18, 2018 at 12:59 pmI go in order of density. This serum is denser than the cosrx bha & aha liquids. So in this case, I would use it AFTER those products and before lotions or creams.
