Hi loves, today I will be sharing my experience and review with the new 2017 launched ByWishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water review! I can’t be more then thrilled to share this review and my experience as I have had amazing experiences with Mandelic Acid in the past, which made me beyond excited to test out this new product from Wishtrend. So without further a-do, let’s hope into the review and claims for this product!

ByWishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water Review
The Product Claims
- A hydrating and non-irritating exfoliant that can be used daily.
- Low-irritation exfoliation.
- Skin tone & texture improvement.
- Antibacterial.
- Fades pigmentation
- Anti-inflammatory
These claims are quite appealing to me as someone with sensitive, acne prone and textured skin. The above claims target towards those with problematic skin but also those who can be sensitive at the same time, making the ByWishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water seem like that absolutely perfect product to add into a acne prone skin routine.
Ingredients
Based on the claims, the truth always is in the ingredients. When looking at the ingredients list, it is quite nice to see it’s on the short side, meaning the product will be less likely to cause irritation or complications. Bellow is the ingredients list for your viewing. There are several ingredients in this list that are favorites of mine when included in skincare.
Water, Mandelic Acid (main aha exfoliating ingredient), Butylene Glycol, Beta-Glucan (great hydration), Panthenol, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract (excellent skin brightening), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Fruit Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate(excellent hydration), Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Centella Asiatica Extract(great skin repair and brightening), Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Sorbitol, Dimethyl Sulfone, Chlorphenesin, Sodium Citrate, Arginine, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hydrolyzed Collagen(great moisture & skin repair), Carbomer
Packaging & Texture
When it comes to packaging in this ByWishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water review, the product comes in your basic plastic bottle with a controlled dropped inner cap for adequate control over the amount of product that is dispensed. The inner cap is a design I prefer when it comes to watery formulas, as they are clean and simple allowing for a clean dispensing of liquid. Aside from the cap, the bottle has a bronze tint to it that protect the active ingredients from the light, while still having transparency, allowing you to see just how much product remains in the bottle. The packaging on a whole is simple, clean and effective.
The formula itself is just as you would assume, watery. Although the formula is very thin and water like, the product still is able to delivery a moist feeling on the skin that absorbs fairly quickly into my dry skin. However a little still goes a long way as a few drops into the palms of my hands is all I need to cover my entire face.
Experience & Results
The first time I applied the ByWishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water onto my skin, I immediately felt a tingling/stinging sensation that lasted only a few seconds. I instantly knew this product had a significant amount of AHA in it as the sensation it created is a classic effect from quality AHA ingredients. For some, this feeling could be concerning at first when you’re unfamiliar with it. For myself as someone who has been using AHA products for years, this sensation makes me excited, as it tells me the product is doing its job!
Although the product does claim to be good for hydration, for me, the hydration effects where minimal to almost non-existent. If you are like myself and have dry skin that is also dehydrated, I would not recommend this product if you are strictly looking for a good hydrating toner. However if you are looking for a toner that whitens, fades scars, exfoliates and smooths out rough skin, then this is the toner for you!
On that note, I couldn’t be happier with this toner! Over the past few months, my skin has had a seriously issue with clogged pores, rough texture, peeling and bumps. However in just 1 day of using this toner, my skin quite literally improved drastically! I have never seen such fast results for improving skin texture in my life!
The next morning after using the ByWishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water, my clogged pores diminished and the acne pimples I had significant;y reduced in size or completely disappeared! Do take note, my acne was very minimal and not severe in the least bit, I mostly just had small bumps and clogged pores. Even though my acne and troubles were minimal, I was still shocked at how quickly this toner worked to fix all my issues and skin concerns!
Aside from proving my texture and helping to flatten and acne fast, it also made a big improvement on my post acne scars aka PIH. Not only that, in the 1 month I have been using this product day and night, not once has it caused me irritation or sensitivity, making it a pass in my sensitive skin books!
Basically, a must have!
All I can say is if you have acne prone skin, rough skin texture and clogged pores and marks, this is a must have toner. If you were wondering if its worth it or not, I’m telling you now it certainly is! I can easily say this is the best AHA product I have ever used that is a liquid formula! It has been a very long time since I have been this impressed with an AHA product or acne product! This is a new must have holy grail Korean skincare item for my routine!

October 28, 2017 at 9:28 amHello,
Thank you for your review.
I got mine recently and i got excited to use it when i saw the results you got in your review on your youtube channel.
For me, it’s not as effective on my skin as I had wished but i’m still willing to give it some time to show progress.
I wanted to ask you how to deal with an aha product and a vitamin C product in the same routine, as i heard it wasn’t good to use both of them at the same time.
I’m currently using the Vitamin C Klairs serum.
Thank you

June 18, 2018 at 1:08 pmIt definitely is a product that delivers more slow results as it is a very gentle acid in comparison to other forms of AHA such as Glycolic Acid. If you feel you don’t get the results you hoped for, then you might be best suited to Glycolic acid instead of Mandelic acid 🙂
