After 2 years, I have finally taken the initiative to update my wardrobe. As the last time I did so, was just over 2 years ago, I can’t help but feel excited to share my updated fashion sense with you all. For today’s post, I am sharing the recent collective clothing haul of my purchases over the past 2 months from multiple brands such as HelloMolly, Dynamite, M Boutique, and Honey Store. A combination of Australian fashion, Canadian boutiques and chain brands.
Clothing Haul & Try On’s

My style has evolved quite a bit since I last updated my wardrobe. As I was previously living in Asian for 3 years straight, my style was a combination of feminine, classic chic and conservative. However, after my move to Melbourne Australia for 1 year, my style expanded and transformed into a less conservative version. Incorporating Australian fashion trends into my Korean inspired style. While I was living in Seoul South Korea, I feel that time in my life was when I truly found my personal style. Although it was more conservative than what I was used to, I still loved the look it portrayed. Upon my arrival in Australia, I was happy to once again be living in a country that was less conservative, with an acceptance of showing the shoulders and chest area. While in Korean and Japan, showing these areas is definitely not as widely accepted.
Sizes: S for both
The first items from my recent collective clothing haul shown in the photo above are two pieces from a small chain of boutique stores in Ontario Canada known as M Boutique. This boutique I recently was introduced to upon my move back to Canada and I immediately fell in love. This brand really mimics Australian fashion trends which is my second favourite to Korean fashion. On the left is a white cropped T in the size Small. On the right is a black cropped spaghetti strapped top with a deep neck that has slack in it.
Sizes: S & M
In the above photo from this clothing haul is a combination of M Boutique and Honey Store which are two boutique brands in Toronto Canada. To the left is a black scrunch cropped top with cropped sleeves. This top is on trend for 2017-2018, as someone who doesn’t normally buy trendy clothing but instead buys for classic looks, this was something out of the norm for me. The downside is that this top started to fall apart after washing it. As I followed the directions and hand washed the top in cold water, the sewing began to unravel and the top started losing its scrunched pattern. As this top was $40 CAD, I was extremely disappointed. On top of which, these boutique stores have a no return policy. I had to hand sew the parts that were unravelling to repair the top which took a few hours.
To the right is a white cropped top with spaghetti straps which I purchased from Honey Store. This top also began to fall apart after hand washing in cold water as per the directions. The first time I put it on after washing was for this photo/video and the strapped immediately fell off… As such, I had to bobby pin the strap to the top in order to keep the top on for the video/photo. This top came to $50 CAD after taxes, so to have it fall apart without even wearing it once was extremely disappointing. Once again, the store has a no return policy… Fortunately, I can sew it back together… however, if I am paying half a hundred for a top, it should not fall apart.
The next set of items in this clothing haul is from a chain brand here in Canada called Dynamite which has been around since I was a teenager or even longer! I have always been a fan of the brand as it has a solid combination of professional / cocktail wear making it a great brand for the young adult women. Recently, the brand has been rather on point with their fashion in my opinion. I got the 3 above items from the Toronto Premium Outlet Mall in Milton Ontario off Trafalgar road.
To the left is a lace bralette that comes with detachable black straps which I already lost haha… The quality is excellent for a bralette that was around $30 CAD. In the middle is a wrap dress that has flowy mid-length sleeves which I rolled up. I originally left that the sleeves made the dress look frumpy, after rolling the sleeves, I felt the dress immediately looked 10X better. This dress was around $36 CAD. To the right is a cropped top in a floral pattern featuring a deep plunging V. This cropped top is strapless, however, it has a “grippy” gel lining inside to keep the top from sliding down. Once again, this top was around $35 CAD.
Sizes: XS for all
Lastly in this clothing haul is my purchases from HelloMolly, and Australian boutique brand. HelloMolly is one online store I have been wanting to order from for quite some time now. However, being an Australian brand, the prices are more on the higher side as a dress averages around $70-$80 CAD and AUD. Do also note, when ordering clothing from Australia, there is almost always a customs fee upon arrival which can range from an additional $20-$90 at the door, so you have been warned! However, in my opinion, it is worth it, especially if you’re updating your wardrobe. The quality is excellent and the styles are unique, classic and trendy!
To the left is a glitter cocktail/club dress in a sequence rose gold fabric. This dress was around $70 CAD and is in an AU size XS or dress size 6. In the middle is a dress I have had my eye on for half a year! This stripped blue cocktail dress is a chiffon style fabric that features a small wrap tie at the side. it was around $60 CAD as I think it might have been on sale when I purchased. It is in the size XS / 6 in AU sizing. Finally the last HelloMolly dress to the right is a beige double layered glitter dress with gold and iridescent patterns. It is a halter style with a deep open back, making it a stunning cocktail/club dress. As per usual, this hellomolly dress was around $70 CAD.
My Sizing
For most clothing and in this clothing haul, I am on avergae a size XS/6 in AU & US sizing. However, this sizing can vary between an XS and S depending on the cut and style. I am 5’2 or 165cm tall and weight on average is 105lbs or 46kg.
