For today I will be sharing a double review in one, reason being is due to the fact that this review is on the IM From Magnolia collection that features only 2 products which both are extremely similar.So without further ado, let’s start the Im From Magnolia Review!

IM From Magnolia Wake Essence Review

First we will be starting the Im From Magnolia review with the IM From Magnolia Wake Essence. This essence is designed to be used in the morning, hence the name “Wake Essence”. Let’s take a look at the claims.

• Brighten dull & tired skin
• Moisturizes with leaving a sticky residue
• Makes the skin look more awake
• Therapeutic aromatherapy
• Instant deep hydration

These claims are fairly minimal but to the point. To summarize, this essence will brighten the skin while providing a solid amount of hydration to those with very hydrated skin with the added bonus of aromatherapy for encouraging mind relaxation through the natural scent of magnolia. Seems like it would be a lovely essence to include in a routine!

Packaging

In this IM From Magnolia review, I was beyond excited to discuss the packaging for both the IM From Magnolia Wake Essence and the I’M From Magnolia Sleep Mask.

The packaging for those line is stunning with frosted glass feature on the bottle and the jar. Including pastel pink labeling and rose gold caps, the I’m From Magnolia line is winning over my heart when it comes to Aesthetic. As always it is not only a beautiful line, but also high quality.

Ingredients – Im From Magnolia Wake Essence

Ingredient’s wise, this line is loaded with plant extracts from nature, making it most suitable for those who love to indulge in beauty from nature. Aside from the large amount of Magnolia water in this essence, what stands out to me is the presence of Niacinamide(a very effective skin brightening agent), Hyaluronic acid(adds deep hydration into the skin) and Hippophae Rhamnoides(excellent skin healing properties).

The one downside to the product is the presence of fragrance. However this is what adds the aromatherapy to the product, so it was to be expected. If you know you are sensitive to natural plant fragrances, then this is something to be cautious of in the ENTIRE IM From magnolia line.

Application & Results

For the application, the IM From Magnolia Wake Essence is very smooth and easy to apply. It is extracted with and eye dropper and features a somewhat thick formula, making it easy to control the desired amount.

When applied to the face, it spreads very easy. I was able to use only 3 drops of the essence to cover my entire face. It has an instant cooling effect thanks to the peppermint extract in the formula. There also is a very instant feeling of hydration, my skin literally left full of moisture after applying the product. Not only that, it stayed hydrated all day!

Results wise, I was very happy with how well it restored moisture & hydration to the skin. However on an negative note, it broke me out within the first week of use. I was quite disappointing but during the second week, my breakouts started to go away. I believe my breakouts were due to the sudden use of a large amount of plant based ingredients as well as a sudden increase in a large amount of hydration and moisture.

Im From Magnolia Wake Essence Review Overall

All in all, I think this is an AMAZING essence for people with very dehydrated and dry skin! It restored my skin to a normal state, the only down side was the breakouts which were small and only few. I think it is something to take note of but I have continued to use the product as my breakouts have gone away after continual use.

IM From Magnolia Sleep Mask Review

Secondly we will be finishing the Im From Magnolia review with the IM From Magnolia Sleep Mask. This sleeping mask is designed to be used at night, hence the name “sleep” mask. Let’s take a look at the claims.

• Improve skins negative appearance due to lack of sleep and stress
• Deep moisture & hydration without stickiness
• Skin tone brightening

The claims list for the Im From Magnolia Sleep Mask is much shorter than that of the Wake Essence, which is interesting yet makes sense if you are planning to use both the essence and the mask.

Packaging

Once again the packaging for this line is lovely and completely won me over with each and every detail. For the Im From Magnolia Sleep Mask, it features a lovely frosted glass jar with pink and rose gold features. This mask also comes with a plastic spatula to hygienic extraction of the product.

Once again the sleep mask is loaded with plant extracts from nature. Aside from the large amount of Magnolia water in this essence at 79%, what stands out to me is the presence of Licorice extract(a reputable skin tone brightening agent), Hyaluronic acid(adds deep hydration into the skin) and Hippophae Rhamnoides(excellent skin healing properties).

The 2 down sides to this product are the presence of Alcohol as a preservative and fragrance for the added aromatherapy effect. Which are two things to look out for.

Application & Results

Upon application, the Im From Magnolia Sleep Mask has a very bouncy yet watery gel like texture. After noticing the texture, the scent very much so stands out to me and is something I absolutely love about this line and is worth mentioning in this Im From Magnolia review. The smell is very relaxing, floral and reminiscent to me.

This sleeping mask is very spreadable, meaning you only need a small amount to cover your entire face. After my entire skincare routine, I apply about a quarter size amount into my hands and glide over my face. It give a instant richly hydrating and cooling feeling that is extremely relaxing.

I used this mask for 2 weeks. Within the first week I used it along side the Wake Essence and as I mentioned previously, I experienced small breakouts which I assumed were from my skin being overwhelmed from such an instant amount of deep hydration and moisture, plus strong fragrance… By the second week the breakouts stopped forming and my skin recovered. Aside from the 1 week of small breakouts, the sleep mask was wonderful. Every morning when I would awake, my skin would literally be glowing and feel wonderfully full of moisture! My skin has never been so supple!

Im From Magnolia Sleep Mask Review Overall

All in all I think the Im From Magnolia Sleep Mask is an amazing sleeping mask, especially for those who have dehydrated and dry skin! My skin felt amazing while using it and every morning my skin look fabulous.. aside from the small breakouts. If you have super sensitive acne prone skin then you might experience the same small breaks outs that I did. Yet everyone’s skin is different, but just keep notes of that.

Brightening wise for both these products, I did notice my skin starting to look brighter and all around better. It’s hard to explain but my skin just “looked” nicer. Aside from the small few breakouts I had.
