Today I am sharing another skincare review only this time, it’s a review on a product that is most suitable to those with oily skin! As someone with dry combination skin, I generally stay away from product that are more suited for those with oily skin as they generally do not provide enough moisture for me, so let’s dive right into the review!

As this is a light weight cream designed for oily skin users, the claims list is quite minimal for a Korean skincare product. Yet at the same time, the benefits this oily skin cream does claim to provide are still very essential for the skins health and anti aging.
Packaging, Texture & Ingredients
As per usual, the Im From Vitamin Tree Water Gel comes in the classic thick glass jar with a black cap with a provided plastic spatula. Aside from the usual, the texture of the gel is rather lovely! Based on my memory from the previous formula, the water gel had a more water like consistency where upon application, the gel would instantly transform from a gel to water on the skin. Becoming rather runny and liquid like. With the new formula, I feel the texture holds together a little better upon application and slowly liquefies on the skin. Yet at the same time, leaves a velvety layer of moisture over the skin.
When I took a look at the ingredients, I honestly felt there wasn’t much in the list that made me feel concern as there were so many excellent ingredients. One ingredient which pleasantly surprised me was Niacinamide, which is commonly used in Korean skincare for brightening the skin without the use of heavy acids. I personally love having Niacinamide in my skin as it is an excellent additive to include to maintain a clear and flawless complexion.
Application & Experience
When it comes to applying the cream on the face, it glides smoothly over the skin, absorbed within seconds and leaves a velvety layer of hydration with a slight feeling of moisture on the skin. It doesn’t leave an oily or shiny look to the skin which is perfect for those who naturally have an oilier skin type. However if you are like me and have dry skin, you will need to add a few drops of your favorite facial oil to this gel like cream to add the moisture you need. Based on the Im From Vitamin Tree Water Gel’s claims, it certainly does add perfect hydration to the skin! With a few added drops of jojoba oil, this cream is perfect for my skin at the moment. It has helped balance my skin to the point where I don’t need any other products added to my skin!
Which 100% shocked me… All I need is toner plus this cream and a few drops of oil added and my skin is beyond happy!
Brightening wise, I have noticed my skin looks more even! Its not a huge difference, but it certainly has been noticeable, to the point where I no longer feel the need to wear foundation to go to the grocery store!
Overall
I am 100% happy with this cream, the only down side is that it isn’t moisturizer enough, but then again this cream is designed for oil skin types and not dry skin types. If you have dry dehydrated sensitive skin like me, then I suggest adding a few drops of jojoba oil to this cream before applying it to your skin. For me, this gives my skin the perfect balanced level of hydration with gentle moisture and nutrition!
100% recommend and approve the im from vitamin tree water gel for oily skin!
