KLAIRS MID DAY BLUE SUN LOTION REVIEW | Renewed Formula!

If you haven’t guessed by the title of this article, I am sharing an updated review on my experience with the renewed formula on the Klairs Mid Day Blue Sun Lotion! Yes that’s right, I have previously reviewed this Korean sun cream here when it first launched. During the 1 year after the product first was introduce, the Klairs brand listened the its customers opinions and made the effect to perfect the sun cream! Bringing us to the launch of the new formula, Klairs Mid Day Blue Sun Lotion 2.0!

So without further a-do, let’s hope into the update review!

Klairs Mid Day Blue Sun Lotion Renewed Formula

This upgraded formula claims to:

• UV Protection x Heat Protection
• Maintains moisture and clears skin with heat protection.
• Soothes damaged skin from sun and external heat.
• The peaceful blue color helps your skin to be light skin toned.
• Moisturizes without stickiness.

These are some fairly good claims from a sun lotion, especially for those who are concerned with sensitive skin issues, redness from skin having a hot temperature, want a brighter and mor even skin tone and a smooth moisturizing layer that isn’t sticky. Not

Packaging

This is one aspect of the product I wish they included in the renewal. The packaging for this sun cream has always been a down fall for me. Don’t get me wrong, it is pretty and aesthetically pleasing, however the light blue text on the white label makes it hard to read even for someone like me with good vision. I wish they improved the text color to be more visible and easier on the eyes. However whats important is the formula and product itself rather than text colors.

Ingredients

The ingredients for the Klairs Mid Day Blue Sun Lotion have always been to my liking as they have always worked okay with my skin. However with the improved formula is has proven to be even more suitable! Klairs has improved the formula to fix the problem where the original formula would separate, crumble on the skin and look cakey at times under makeup or if too much sun cream was applied to the skin. They also balanced out the formula to reduce the “white cast” which can make the face appear much whiter due to the physical spf ingredients. The renewed formula now is balanced to compliment the skin better with both chemical and physical spf ingredients.

Not only that that, they kept all the wonderful skin hydrating, moisturizing, brightening and calming ingredients that make this spf like a skincare super charged sun cream! Also, it is now Vegan friendly!

Texture & Application

This is where I saw the biggest improvement! As I mentioned before, the original formula would sometimes separate, look cakey, be too white or “crumb” under makeup or over top of skincare. It was a nice watery and lightweight formula, however it did not work well for everyone application wise. However with the renewed formula, I immediately noticed how cream and soft it was! It glided smoothly over the skin and melted in, leaving a smooth texture with a small brightening affect. It did not at all separate, look cakey or crumble over my skincare. I even wore it whilst running, not once did mt sweat cause the spf to separate or lift off my skin.

Overall & Results

One thing I am always concerned about when it comes to sun creams isn’t how the formula looks and feels on my skin, but is if it will break me out. My skin is very sensitive, especially when it comes to spf products. I always have to be careful with what I use as they can easily cause me to breakout with acne pimples. What I originally loved about the first formula was the fact that it never broke me out. When I saw Klairs renewed the formula, I was nervous that it would not work well for my skin anymore. However to my pleasant surprise, the new formula never broke me out even while wearing it while running! I honestly am impressed with how well Klairs improved the formula! I ave experienced no issues with it in all aspects of my lifestyle! Through physical activity, daily life and a full face of makeup, the new formula held up flawlessly without breaks or irritation!
