For someone like myself, who suffers with sensitive dehydrated acne prone skin, a serum like this is everything I am looking for. I couldn’t have been more excited to test it out, especially since my skin has been very irritated recently.

Ingredients

One thing I absolutely love about this serum, long before evening using it, is the very short and clean ingredients list. The ingredients of this serum are only that of key components, which shows there are no filler ingredients. I love when products do this as it makes it extremely easy for those with sensitive and problematic skin to trust in the product. Bellow is the list of ingredients:

Not only does it have a short list, 2 different types of Peptides are the 2 first ingredients on the list, which is absolutely outstanding! Peptides are like the glue of our skin, keeping the cells together, thus keeping our skin young. We naturally produce them, but as we age, our skin produces less and less which results in the first signs of aging. In your 20’s it’s important to start helping your skin by adding ingredients such as Peptides and Collagen back into the skin to reduce skin aging. Not only does this help slow down the skin aging process, but it also builds up the skins defenses against sensitivities and other irritation. Making it extremely ideal for those with problematic skin!

Aside from Peptides, Blueberry extract is also high on the list as a very effective antioxidant which helps prevent skin aging as well. Along side Guaiazulene which is another outstanding ingredient that repairs and heals the skin fast! This is one powerful healing & anti-aging serum.

Packaging & Texture

When it comes to the packaging for this  Klairs Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop review, it really isn’t outstanding nor is it bad. The blue drop serum comes in a small glass vial with a glass eye dropped for extracting the product. Yet where the packaging falls flat in my opinion is with the twist off cap. The cap is made of plastic but it has a slight “cheap” feeling to it. I feel like the cap could have been more of a sleek design to match the rest of the bottle. Non the less, it does function perfectly fine and I have experience no leaks.

The texture of the actually product itself is something that surprised me! It is like water! The formula is very very thin just like water which caught me off guard. This thin texture makes it somewhat different to control the flow of the drop when applying it directly on the face.

I find the only way to control the serum from completely running off your face and down your neck or onto the floor, is the keep your hand on your face to “catch” the drop and spread it over the face. If that makes sense…

I noticed the serum should be applied in this way and not applied by adding the drop to your hands then massaging into the face. There definitely is a trick to using this serum to get the best application possible with little to no waste.

Use & Results

Now to the good part of the Klairs Midnight Blue Youth Activating drop review, the results!

I honestly had no fears using this serum. Since I knew all the ingredients and benefits, I did not at any time second guess or feel concerned this serum would cause me irritation of breakouts. Not only that, upon first use I noticed the serum had zero natural fragrance which made me exceptionally happy!

I applied the serum to my irritated dry skin after my toner, then once it absorbed I followed up with my usual evening skincare routine. In the morning, I noticed my irritation, redness and peeling skin had healed significantly faster then it was the previous days!

I took a photo of 1 post inflammation spot I had to track how fast it would heal while using the blue drop daily for 1 week. I noticed a massive improvement in just a short amount of time! Plus I had seriously dryness and irritation around me mouth area and it healed it in under a week!

Final Thoughts

All in all, this Klairs Midnight Blue Youth Activating drop review experience has proved to me that these ingredients are a life saver for someone like me with extremely sensitive and irritable skin. My skin was look so rough until I included this in my routine. The only thing I wish is that the serum came in a larger amount. As in almost 1 month I have gone through just over half the vial… My skin gobbles this serum up and loves it. However I feel it is still 100% worth the $30 for the bottle. I don’t know how long it would have taken my skin to heal without it.

For visible anti-aging, this didn’t really make a visible difference for my fine lines. However this serum is clearly a preventative as it has no tightening or firming claims for wrinkles. It wont reverse the clocks, but it will slow them down if you know what I mean.

Overall, I absolutely love this serum! It is my sensitive skin savior!
