Hello fellow skincare obsessed babes! If you have arrived at my blog, then you most likely have heard about the Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence and as such, were curious to learn more about the product and how it performs on others skin. Well then, if you are similar to me with a skin type that is sensitive, dry and acne prone, then you have arrived at the right review!

What’s The Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence?
The latest product launch from the Klairs brand is their new Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence, which is now their second SPF in the brand. This specific SPF for face is designed to deliver broad-spectrum protection with a lightweight moisturizing texture that is not supposed to leave the skin feeling heavy, oily, or greasy. Plus, this SPF contains skincare ingredients that work to treat the skin with care throughout the day, meaning it’s more than just an SPF.
Sounds great, but why is it important for me to use?
If you’re still not sure why you actually need an SPF for your face, then let me tell you why it’s important to use one daily. The sun’s UV rays not only provide us with wonderful vitamin D, but they also provide us with lovely skin damage that speeds up the ageing process. Yup, you read that right. 90%+ of skin ageing is caused by the sun, which happens all year round.
So what does that all mean?
To put it into a more straight-forward term, if you want to look younger for longer, then you need to wear SPF on your face every single day of the year that you go outside! On top of that, the SPF you use should be a level 40 and higher for optimal protection.
Wow! So how about this Klairs SPF?
Now that you are a little more into the concept of using SPF on the face daily, now it’s time to get into this review, my personal experience with the product.

Some stuff might cause acne, there is fragrance, but otherwise, it’s good!
I am honestly a little upset that they put fragrance in the mix, however, it’s good to keep in mind that a lot of people have no problems with fragrance and in fact, prefer their skincare to contain it.
But how does it feel?
No onto the texture! As I mentioned previously, this formula is water-based but still has some moisturizing ingredient within it, making it a very hydrating, thin lotion texture. It leaves a light moisturizing layer over the skin that is not tacky but has a good amount of grip, making it a great makeup primer for those with dehydrated and dry skin. It absorbs nicely into the skin, but not at a very quick speed if you already have a cream or lotion on. Best of all, it does not leave a white cast!
Overall Experience
When it comes to how it performed on my sensitive dry acne prone skin, I must say I was happy! I found when used with a day cream, it was too much for my skin. Instead, I started using it alone as my day cream, of course after using toner, essence and serum. When used this way, it was just the right amount of moisture and hydration! The fragrance wasn’t too strong, so it did not cause me any irritation or hives, nor did it clog my pores… that I know of.
Any breakouts or irritation?
I have been struggling with a clogged pore problem the past couple of months with frequent cases or irritation that I have yet to find the cause of. When using this SPF, my clogged pores and irritation frequency neither subsided or became worse. This gives me the idea that the Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence works well with my skin, as it did not cause any additional breakouts or irritation!
Would I buy it again?
YES! I really like it! Even more so than some of my featured favourites on here such as the COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream and the Klairs Mid-day Blue Sun Lotion! This SPF for sensitive skin works really great with my skin, even though it has fragrance, plus it’s just the right amount of moisture for everyday use! I honestly recommend it!
