Along with the skincare claims, the Klairs lotion also is vegan friendly, no animal cruelty, contains no harsh alcohols, fragrance or parabens,pigment free and is safe for pregnant women and those with skin conditions such as eczema, atopi, and psoriasis. Pretty amazing sounding claims in my opinion! This lotion has everything that appeals to me in skincare, especially for use on the face!

Packaging & Texture

One thing I really enjoy about this lotion is the fact that it comes in a easy to squeeze tube. The packaging is minimalist with a small dispenser opening making it easy to control the amount of product that comes out. There certainly is nothing flashy about this product packaging, however it is functional and hygienic making it ideal in my books. The color concept of the packaging is a match to the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner, which makes sense to me since the product names are similar as they both are “supple preparation”. Which tells me a supple preparation line is in the works.

Texture wise, I am quite pleased! It feels exactly as you would expect a light weight lotion to feel. It has a very watery yet dense feeling, If I had to relate it to a food product, it would remind of the consistency of a chocolate syrup, runny yet thick at the same time. It spreads extremely easily over the skin and leaves and instantly moist and hydrated feeling. Although it is a lotion, it gives my facial skin the perfect amount of moisture it needs!

Sometimes, other facial creams are too much for my skin, usually I can tell this is so when a cream leaves a layer over my skin that crumbles up and clumps when touches or after I swipe my finger over my skin. However the Klairs Supple Preparation All Over Lotion does not do this. It absorbs evening and perfectly into my skin, still leaving a thin moisturizing layer over my skin without clumping up over time. It leaves a slight glow over the skin that leaves my face looking glowy and healthy without and oily finish. The texture of this lotion on both face and body is one I love!

Application & Results

As mentioned previously, this lotion applies perfectly over my facial skin. Not too much and not too little it provides my skin with the perfect amount of moisture & hydration without clogging my pores! For the body however, it is not quite enough moisture for me, however please keep in mind, I have extremely dry body skin where as of now, I literally have to just rub pure coconut oil over my legs and feet to have them feeling somewhat close to moisturized. However adding the lotion to this routine is a nice added touch, but for my extremely dry legs, its just not quite enough. If you have normally dry legs, it might be perfect! For my upper body, it is perfect! Just not my legs and feet..

For the hair, this is not one I personally would use on dry hair, however on towel dried/damp hair, applying a little bit to the ends and working it through with a comb actually does work as a really light weight and lovely leave in conditioner! But when applied on perfectly dried hair, it can feel more heavy and a little clumpy. So I recommend only applying as a leave in conditioner on wet or damp hair and combing through. When doing this, my hair feels more soft and flexible when dried. It’s a great little hair trick for those with thin and dry hair. But if you have extremely dry and damaged hair, using a richer repairing hair treatment would be better. But this lotion is a nice bonus touch of moisture for the hair.

Overall Opinion

I am absolutely in love with this lotion! But mostly for use on my face, neck and upper body. For the hair, this is an extra step I wouldn’t mind skipping out on, and I would only use this on my legs if I needed moisture and fast if I was heading out and didn’t have time for a heavy body cream. But I have been using this religiously on my face as my new moisturizer and I can’t be more in love! It seriously is the perfect amount of moisture on my skin! Doesn’t clog my pores, doesn’t cause irritation, got rid of my dehydration lines and flaking patches and most importantly, did not break me out! This has become my new go to facial moisturizer. I literally have zero desire to use any other moisturizer on my face! Of course I still use my treatments and toners and serums, but for moisturizer, this is all I have been using day and night and my skin is more than happy!
