Hi loves!
Today I will be sharing my personal experience with the newย Jungle Botanics Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo, a natural shampoo for those looking for something environmentally friendly and friendly for your scalp and hair.
The Jungle Botanics Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo is a natural based shampoo that is the first step & partner to the Jungle Botanics Forest Leaves Warming Treatment which I previously reviewed here.
Product Claims
The cooling shampoo claims to:
- soothe the scalp
- provide cooling effect due to menthyl(mint) capsules
- silicon free
- phthalate free
- contain no harsh/harmful ingredients
- deeply cleanses
- restore natural pH balance
- Restores natural volume
Those are some pretty nice claims for a natural shampoo! But do he ingredients really hold up to these claims? Let’s find out!

That’s a pretty nice looking ingredients list for a natural shampoo! Containing mainly natural ingredients that can help to maintain a healthy scalp and nourish the hair. Making this natural shampoo great for those with sensitive scalps or color treated hair.
Packaging & Texture
Once again as I said in my previous Jungle Botanics reviews, I simply love the packaging design for this line. This time however, the cooling shampoo comes in a pump bottle instead of a squeeze tube. The bottle is designed well as 1 pump dispenses just enough shampoo for someone like me with thin medium length hair. However if you have long and thick hair, 2-3 pumps may be required.
The texture of theย Jungle Botanics Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo is rather nice! It has a very elastic texture that foams up quite nicely for a semi natural shampoo. So making a lovely thick lather on your hair certainly is no issue at all!
Application & Overall Results
For me, I like to apply my shampoo directly to my scalp, massaging well then working the product down onto the middle of my hair while avoiding the ends. This method of mine has become even more beneficial now that I have started using this natural shampoo. Why you ask? because the cooling effect feels amazing on my scalp! The peppermint in this shampoo really is cooling and feels amazing as you let it sit on your scalp for a couple minutes. Plus the natural scent has a very relaxing aromatherapy effect that helps you relax in the shower. For me, I am someone who loves these types of natural effects from aromatherapy, so the combination of cooling and the scent really is a 10/10 for me!
After showers, I noticed that this shampoo didn’t fade my color either, as my roots where recently bleached and dyed, some shampoos usually make the color wash out very quickly. However with theย Jungle Botanics Forest Leaves Cooling Shampoo, in 2 weeks my color barely faded if it faded at all! I was very very pleasantly surprised! I also didn’t need to use as much conditioner as well! My hair naturally started feeling healthier, holding up to humidity better without getting as frizzy!
This shampoo I swear was designed for us girls with dry & frizzy color damaged hair!
