I got new hair! Literally! Haha I have new hair! But that will be for a later post but for now, I died my new hair! I ombre pinked it! I didn’t add a lot of ombre pink, I kept it minimal because I didn’t want to have to actually dye my ends of my own hair pink for the reason that when I wasn’t wearing the hair I didn’t want weird random pink ends. I don’t like the dip dyed look, just a very smooth and subtle ombre, so keeping it short but faded well was ideal for me! ๐
I did this ombre myself too which was quite impressive! I did a practice stand first to make sure I had the right technique and that it would turn out good! I will do a tutorial for this later! ๐
This is the style of ombre I was going for, Since my hair is not styled into a V shape cut like in the picture bellow, I didn’t pull the pink up high around my shoulder area, Plus it would also require me to dye my own hair which I didn’t want to do.
Here is a picture I took from my twitter of my test strand that I did! I loved the color I was able to achieve!
I used a drug store brand called Manic Panic in Cotton Candy Pink! I didn’t want that color as deep or vibrant as the dye is supposed to be so I made it come out a softer pink by mixing half and half!
The end results were very pleasing! :D:D:D:D
This photo makes the hair look a little purple but I can guarantee you it isn’t at all purple ๐ Kyle was very against me putting pink in my hair but I assured him it is not permanent and not going in my own hair ๐
Since the dye is mixed with conditioner it will most likely wash out of the hair a bit faster then it normally should but I am quite okay with that, I rarely wash extensions because it damages them much faster. This color will last a long time or as long as I want it to! I have wanted pink hair for forever! Now I finally have a little bit of pink to spark up my life wooooooooooo! ๐
