For today’s post I will be sharing my thoughts and impressions on the NEW CC Cream by Physicians Formula! I was super excited when I saw that they were coming out with a cc cream product line.
I was in the market for a new cc or bb cream but I needed one that was for sensitive skin but also provided the same benefits that a Asian brand would provide. I find a lot of North American brands don’t provide the same benefits as Asian ones. The only one that does is from Marcelle but their cc and bb creams are very oily which is not to my liking.
So when I saw this cc cream and the benefits it claims to provide I was very excited! The product comes in a 1.2 fl oz /35 ml tube that is just or so cute looking *also selling point* which is also very convenient for travel.
The product claims to visibly correct Age spots, dark circles, blemishes, dullness, skin tone, redness, discolouration, fine lines, wrinkles and signs of aging. These are all factors that Asian brands provide.
Now this all sounded thrilling and fabulous but for me, I need something with all these benefits but that is also for sensitive skin. So I did not reading and saw that it also is Hypoallergenic, gluten free, paraben free, fragrance free, oil free, dermatologist tested and non-comedogenic!
All of those benefits and stats combined labels this the ultimate cc cream for me! I was so excited! So I instantly grabbed the lightest shade and headed some to give it a shot!
I applied this cc cream in 3 different ways to really test it to know what application gives me the best coverage with the lightest feeling and a flawless look. I immediately feel in love with applying it with a sponge applicator. So I put it on and headed to work for a full 8 hr shift.
All day at work I was asked how do I have such flawless looking skin?!
I ended up selling all the light cc cream we had! *I work at shoppers drug mart* People were wanting it as soon as I told them what it was!
Not only did I sell it like crazy, BUT it also lasted my entire work day! The product did not budge and I only used setting powder on the outside of my face, leaving my t-zone un-set, with just the cc cream layered over top of all my moisturizers.
However….
One issue I have with this fabulous product is that it does not have enough shades in its range! ๐
I purchased the lightest shade in light/clair and as you can see in the swatches bellow, this color is still on the medium side.
I naturally am a little tanned with an olive/yellow under tone to my skin and this colour still is a little too dark. I love the fact that this product has yellow undertones but I just wish they made more shades in the range. Since this is the lightest shade, it is a huge let down and limits anyone with cool undertones from being able to purchase it!
I am hoping this cc cream becomes popular and encourages them to come out with a wider shade variety.
Other then that, I am totally in love with this product! And if I was to compare it to one of my other favourites, I would say this cc cream is very similar to Skin79 pink super plus bb just less oily and with a more natural color!
