Why You Should be Using Propolis Serum on your skin

If you’re a skincare junkie like myself, then you are probably already well familiar with Propolis and have a general understanding of the key benefits it has for the skin. Although, are you just as familiar with polyphenol in conjunction with propolis?

What is Propolis and how does it help my skin?

Always a great question! Put simply, propolis is a counter by product of honey. Bees create propolis as a “glue” that is used to structure the honeycombs together.Think of it as a highly concentrated version of honey, only better. Instead of eating propolis, we instead use it on the skin as a topical treatment for wounds, irritation, and nourishment.

It sounds complex, yet polyphenol is as simple as being a powerful antioxidant that is found in dark chocolate, teas, and berries. The Review

Now that we all are cleared up on what exactly this anti-aging serum does for the skin, it’s time to share my personal experience with this product!

“I’m half way through the bottle and shocked!”

It’s been just over 1 month since I have begun using the By Wishtrend Polyphenol in Propolis 15% Ampoule and I must say, I am pleasantly surprised and here’s why.

Scent, Texture & Packaging

For starters, the packaging is lovely! The anti aging serum comes in a wonderful tinted transparent glass bottle with a glass i-dropper for dispensing the product. What I love about this is the fact I can see how much product I have used.

“I’ll know when I’m running low and potentially need to purchase more.”

In terms of texture, when dispensed onto the skin, the propolis serum has a rather thick texture which reminds of honey, only a less sticky version. On that note, the ampoule is not at all sticky on the skin when applied generously. It has a smooth texture that instantly feels hydrating and moisturizing. Lastly, the thing I am happiest about it…

“It has no scent!”

As I am someone with sensitive skin, especially in regards to fragrance, finding a skincare product that is scent free makes me very happy.

My Experience & Results

At first, I was unsure if this Korean serum was worth using. It was hydrating and moisturizing, but in terms of anti-aging and repairing, I wasn’t doing much for me.

“I did not see instant results.”

Which of course is normal for most skincare items, yet for some reason, I had high expectation from this polyphenol skin product. But with that said, I found myself reaching for it daily! As it currently is mid winter where I live, my skin had been extremely dry and cracking, especially around my nose and inner cheeks.

“To my surprise, in two weeks everything changed!”

I no longer had cracking skin around my nostrils and nose, my cheeks were no longer tight and peeling, and my skin overall felt amazing which was something I hadn’t been able to say in a couple months!

My skin felt and looked better, but unfortunately for this reviews purpose, I can’t say much in terms of wrinkle, fine line, or acne scar healing as my skin originally had neither of those. However, in regards to nourishing and healing, I can 100% say this propolis serum is outstanding!
