Hi loves!
Once again, I am sharing with you all an updated review on the Skinmiso Pore Corset Serum! That’s right, this is an updated review on the improved formula and fresh new packaging to this world wide all star that took Asian by storm! I previously reviewed just how well the original formula worked here where you can see just how well it tighten my enlarged pores. However today I will be discussing my experience with the renewed formula and if it worked with my skin or not.
Skinmiso Pore Corset Serum Renewed Formula
Renewed Claims:
- Paraben-free / Phenoxyethanol-free
- 20 minutes of thorough pore tightening therapy.
- Optimal hydration balance to regulate sebum.
- Perfect for people who have enlarged pores or oily looking skin.
In the renewed formula, all elements have been replaced with plant extracts. This aid in calming, reducing irritation and enhancing the skin’s texture. Not only that, the pore tightening effect has been improved to provide a more rapid tightening effect due to a faster serum absorption rate.
Ingredients
As mentioned in the claims, the Skinmiso Pore Corset Serum has been improved to contain plant extracts as it’s main ingredients source. This has been done to reduce the risk of irritation in those with more sensitive skin types. Not only that, it is paraben free and phenoxyethanol free. Making it suitable to people like me with sensitive skin. This is what I love to see in skincare. As a sensitive skin and acne sufferer, finding products that are effective and work can be a struggle. I was very excited to see this improvement from Skinmiso. Aside from the small amount of fragrance in the product, the ingredients are quite satisfactory.
Packaging
One of the visible changes is the labeling on the entire brand. Skinmiso has recently taken part in a branding makeover. Improving packaging to be more hygienic and functional. For the Skinmiso Pore Corset Serum, the bottle and eye dropped did not change, but the labeling has been changing to match that of the new brand image. I personally love the new label as it is clear to read, easy to spot and clarifies the products function in a clean and simple way. It isn’t my personal aesthetic, but I do enjoy it.
Texture & Application
The is only a slight change in the product texture that I can recall and that is that it is slightly more watery and clear in opacity. The previous formula had a slightly more clouded appearance while the new formula is more translucent. Otherwise, there is not drastic change in texture or application. When applied to the skin, it has a gentle cooking affect. While waiting for the serum to do its work, I would literally feel the tightening effect, which had me concerned that it was my skin drying out, however my skin did not at all become dehydrated thanks to the hydrating ingredients in the serum. I was comfortable waiting the few minutes to allow the serum to tighten my pores before following up with my usual morning skincare routine.
Results & Overall
All in all, he serum worked just as well as the original formula! It tightened my pores in as little as 3 minutes without drying out my skin. My oil production was controlled throughout the day without causing me any irritation or breakouts! The Skinmiso Pore Corset Serum definitely is one I highly recommend to those with enlarged pores and oily skin who need the extra help without having to use pore clogging primers every day to make the skin look smooth and shine free! In my opinion, the renewed formula isn’t anything crazy, but it a great “perfecting” of an already good product.

August 23, 2017 at 4:59 pmIs the tightening only temporary? I’m hoping this would work for a long time by applying it every night. Not sure if its worth buying

August 30, 2017 at 1:51 amYes, the tightening effect is temp, but with continual use the product helps control natural oil production to limit the enlargement of pores from excessive oil production.
