V Line Surgery with Botox

Hi loves! So I have recently been getting asked a lot on my instagram and in my videos if I have gotten botox on my jawline. And the answer is YES! I have!
I have been waiting for a few month until my botox results were at their full effect before sharing this video and blog post. And now, 3 months after my v line surgery botox in korea, I am here to share my experience and results!

Botox in Korea is very popular and a common alternative to the v line surgery. It is a non-invasive procedure that is safe and extremely effective and reducing and slimming the jaw line area. The procedure generally takes 5 minutes to complete and results can be seen 1 month after getting it done. The amount of botox used in the muscles can be determined on how much muscle you have around the jawline. I personally did not have much muscle mass and only need 3 small injections on each side of my jaw. However some people with more square jawlines may require more botox injected. This is nothing to worry about though.

You can determine how much muscle you have on your jaw line by clenching your teeth while feeling your jaw. If you muscle protrude drastically out when you clench your teeth, creating a very square shape, then botox is someone you can consider getting to reduce this effect.

Botox in Korea – Cost – Where to Go

I went to a hospital recommended by my friend in Apgujeong. At Exit 5 of Apgujeong-rodeo station walk straight down the road for 10 minutes. On your right hand side look for a hospital called Lavian. You will cross 2 streets before arriving near the building. The building has a shot called CafeFootLoose on the first floor, second floor has a logo with wwy with a green sign. And on the top floor is Lavian PS. You can see they location here.

When I got the botox done, they were having a 50% off promotion for previous clients and friends. v line surgery botox or jawline botox generally costs around $200 or 200,000 Korean won. However I paid only $100 or 100,000 Korean won ย because of the promo event.

BEFORE & AFTER

The botox was very painless. If you are someone who is okay with needles then you wont have an issue. It felt like pressure instead of pain. There was very little discomfort. The results for botox can be seen around 1 month after the procedure. Results then last up until 6 months. But duration of results can vary depending on how large your muscles originally were.

I saw my results around 1 month after getting it done. At first, I didn’t really notice a difference until I compared photos from before and after. Even seeing myself before in the video above, I was surprised at how the results really do show quite a bit! I personally am really really happy with the results and I will probably want to continue getting v line botox every year as I feel it makes my face look much more feminine and pleasant on camera.

That’s very interesting…. I did not even know that you could slim down your face using botox.. Glad it went well.

Your results look great Bronwyn! Got your procedure for half off too, that’s a bargain!

Hi Bronwyn, I’m a new subscriber to your YouTube channel & blog. First and foremost, I think your channel and blog is great! Sharing your experiences in SKorea from beauty products and cosmetic procedures from a “foreigner’s” point of view can help others like myself (who don’t live in Korea) on whether or not to invest the money in getting procedures done there.
I never knew about face slimming through Botox injected into the jaw muscles, but after coming across your video, I’m a believer! I was interested in going to Korea to get buccal fat removal for a slimmer looking face, simply b/c I cannot afford to go to Korea every 6 months for Botox injections. If you plan on maintaining the slimmer face, is buccal fat removal something you would look into since it’s a one time procedure? Do you know anything about this? Is this a common procedure in Korea?

      Thank you for your support!
I am happy my experiences are able to help you ๐Ÿ™‚

You can get botox for the jawline in any country that provides botox procedures. Just find a local spa near you that provide botox treatments and ask them what they charge for Jaw botox. It is not limited to Korea at all ๐Ÿ™‚
Korea does indeed do fat removal for a slimmer face, however personally for me I would not do this as I am comfortable with my regular face shape and botox is just a nice treatment if I feel I need it at the time. I actually enjoy the botox as it prevents me from bad habits such as biting my lips and grinding my teeth as these actions require continued muscle activation in the jaw. When I have botox, I naturally do these things less because it feels tiring for my jaw.

Of course, the final decision will be up to you. But do try botox first before doing anything permanent to know if facial slimming is what you really want. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi your procedure seemed to come out really nice. Its really neat to see what plastic surgery is like in other countries ive been very curious about Korea for a while now. My only little comment about it is when it comes to feminizing the jaw and making it smaller it slims the entire outline of the face, causing the middle of the face to be more prominent or seemingly protrude. So say you have a nose that is a little more prominent or wide, having a jaw/chin that is smaller may emphasis it. I think jaw slimming procedures look quite nice after a rhinoplasty for the sake of balance to the face. ๐Ÿ™‚

Did you make an appointment for the procedure beforehand? So they speak English? Contact details?

No they do not speak english.
I recommend Laprin plastic surgery because they have a employee who speaks english to help with foreigners. You can find their contact info and email on the bottom of their website.

Hi! I had a strong jawline and people would confuse me for being Asian for some reason. I was very unhappy with the shape of my face and wanted a more feminine look so I had a jaw reshaping procedure done here in the states with a dr who had experience with this kind of procedure. I asked beforehand if there would be any sagging skin since my skin was so tight because of my jawline. He said absolutely not, there is so much elasticity in the facial skin. Long story short I was left with saggy skin and a chunkier looking face. It seems like it needs a lift and I’m in my late 20’s. I am so devastated! I was wondering if you knew or have heard of any experienced Korean doctors that could possibly fix this but in a manner where I look youthful as I always did and where there are no scars or visual traces (pulling of skin) etc to make any of it noticeable . If you can give me any information I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you

I am not that knowledgeable on facial lifting procedures. You will have to discuss this with a clinic on what can be done.

Botox is designed to last up to 6 months at most. You will see the effects start to wear off around 4 months.

Hi BiiBii, do you feel like your jaw muscles went back to it’s state after the botox wore off? Or do you feel like it’s still smaller now than before you got it done?

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I’ve always wanted to do something about my large jaw muscles but I’m not comfortable with shaving my jaw…this would be a great procedure as an alternative.

      Hi,

Yes once the botox wears off, the muscles return to their natural state ๐Ÿ™‚
I would NOT recommend Jaw shaving surgery as it is very invasive and has very high risks. try botox first and if you are happy with the results then that would be perfect!

Hi biibii! Thank you for sharing your experience it was very helpful! I am thinking about getting the same procedure done in the United States. Can you please tell me how many units of Botox you received on each side and how many times you did the procedure? Thank you so much!

Hi!! I have recently move to South Korea to teach out here and i am becoming obsessed with the thought of having botox done, especially because the price is so good. My face is wayyy too round and my chin/jaw line a bit square giving me a more masculine look and I absolutely love the way yours looks! I have actually spoke to the LaPrin clinic today and have scheduled an apointment for 2 weeks time when I get paid….so excited, and thank you for sharing the experience!
